The patient is a high-end makeup artist who works with some of the biggest stars worldwide and leads major campaigns for leading fashion brands. Having seen many examples of whitening and composite bonding throughout her career, she was seeking the very best care and the most natural results.
Her goal was minimal, conservative bonding to refine the jagged edges of her front teeth while maintaining her natural smile.
We began with a full, comprehensive airflow polish and scale, followed by four weeks of whitening using our custom take-home whitening kits. Once she was happy with her new, brighter shade, Dr Imran sat down with her to carefully discuss tooth shape, proportions and overall smile design.
Temporary bonding was used to visualise the potential outcome, allowing the patient to see and approve the look before proceeding.
On the same day, we colour-matched the composite to her new tooth shade and added it precisely to the edges of her teeth to smooth, balance and perfect her existing smile. We also gently refined the sharpness of her canines and evened out one tooth that was slightly longer than the other — a process often referred to as “defanging.”
Importantly, no enamel was shaved, removed or damaged. This was a fully additive and minimally invasive approach.
To protect her new smile, we also provided a custom night guard to prevent wear from grinding.
